Mobile test setups

In addition to fixed laboratories and equipment, the FPN also has a large number of mobile testing setups for conducting scientific research.
These setups usually consist of a monitor used for displaying various stimuli (photos, film, graphics, language, audio) and a device used to process the stimuli (e.g. slide or push buttons) and/or to register responses. These can also be further equipped with devices that measure physiological reactions such as heart rate or skin conductance.
Types of research in which this mobile testing equipment is used include identifying the emotions of involuntarily committed patients for psychopathological research and measuring subjective arousal during presentations of erotic audio-visual stimuli.
